One of the many benefits of micro-needling is that it can increase the absorption rate of topically applied skin care products. The skin is a barrier and can impede the absorption of products. Clinically conducted studies have shown that micro-needling can increase serum absorption by as much as 300%.
When you apply a product after micro-needling, it can travel through the microchannels down past into the upper layer of skin (epidermis) to the lower layer (dermis) where it can be most effective in reducing dark spots, sun damage and fine lines and other signs of aging. These microchannels are temporary. When using an aculift micro-needling device there is no need for numbing cream and there is no downtime.
